Our Charities
All of our Social Events, The Duck Race, Winter Ball, Dragon Boat Race are run in order that we can continue to support local charities. To date we have raised circa £40,000 for a wide range of locally based charities including Dementia, Hedgehogs, Local Parks and Mental Health Charities. We are always on the lookout for deserving local causes so if you have any suggestions please feel free to contact us.
We Support One in a Million
“One In A Million is a charity that works with children and young people, through sports, the arts and enterprise. Using formal and informal education to break cycles of deprivation over their young lives, valuing and celebrating their uniqueness, letting them know they are ‘one in a million’” (Co-founder, Chief Executive, Wayne Jacobs)
It costs £1000 to put a disadvantaged child through a years worth of the One in a Million programme.
To Date we have donated circa £15,000 to help OIAM achieve their Goals
We Support Bradford Memories Cafe
Bradford Memories Cafe is a dementia friendly group that meet weekly to laugh, entertain, educate and support its members who either live with Dementia (at any stage of the disease) and for the carers of the loved ones, friends or colleagues of those individuals living with Dementia and/or associated illnesses.
Unfortunately, when you or a loved one is diagnosed with Dementia it can be a daunting prospect as to what happens next and to be honest, everyone’s story is different. Over many years of lived experience, expertise and research we believe we are just one of many groups and societies out there that can make this life changing disease that little beat easier to live with.
