Bingley Bantams are Supporting One In A Million charity
It costs £750 to put a disadvantaged child through a years worth of the One in a Million programme.
We have to date raised £10,000 for One In A Million; a truly remarkable effort by everyone involved
“One In A Million is a charity that works with children and young people, through sports, the arts and enterprise. Using formal and informal education to break cycles of deprivation over their young lives, valuing and celebrating their uniqueness, letting them know they are ‘one in a million’”.
(Co-founder, Acting Chief Executive, Wayne Jacobs).
Over 3 days from 11th October to 13th October 2020, the Bingley Bantams rode the Lake District in aid of One in a Million.
In total the boys did 120 miles and climbed in excess of 4,500 ft for their challenge.
In hideous weather conditions on day 2 our intrepid Bantams completed the Challenge and in doing so we raised in excess of £900 for OIAM.
Given the current circumstances this was a tremendous effort and our thanks go out to everyone who contributed.
We would also like to thank our generous Event sponsors without whose support the event would not have gone ahead.
